Do you want to know something new about Christmas? You can know something or not. So let us know!!!

Christmas is the biggest celebrate in a year, in all earth. In Christmas was born Jesus Christ. It is his birthday. In Lithuania we are celebrating image1.jpegit on December 25, but for example in Russia or Ukraine, people are celebrating Christmas on January 6.

Christmas time is about 12 days, from December 25 to January 5. On this day we are celebrating Three Kings. The time before Christmas is called ‘’Adventas’’ and it is for 4 weeks.

The shorter word is Xmas. This is from Greek ABC, the lather X means first names lather from Jesus name ‘’Xristos’’. Then it was called X mass.

Christmas symbols:

  • Xmas tree is the one of symbols. It symbolizes eternal life.
  • Xmas star on the tree symbolizesimage2.jpeg Betliejus star, it is like a God promise for us that he will give us a saver.
  • Candles remind us that Jesus is the light of the world.
  • Wreath symbolizes love, because true love never ends and wreath doesn’t have end.
  • Santa Claus is a symbol of generosity.
  • Bells remind us how to find sheep. It symbolize the way back to God.
  • Angels tell us that Jesus was born.

Interesting facts:

  • The biggest present in the world was the Statue of Liberty, French gave it to The USA on 1886, it is 46.5 high.
  • Most popular song of all times is ‘’ White Christmas’’.whitexmas-950_0
  • Every year during Christmas time about 34-36 million Christmas trees are sold in the world! 😮
  • The biggest Xmas tree was 82 m. high, it was decorated with 2.8 million lamps. It was in Brazil.
  • The most expensive Xmas tree was in Japan in Tokyo, it was made of 12 kg of gold.
  • In London there was a Xmas tree which was 12.2 m. high and was made of Lego
